SSL Certificates

Every site we host can run over HTTPS. A certificate encrypts what passes between your visitors and your server, so passwords, card details and contact form submissions cannot be read in transit.

Included free with hosting

Every hosting plan includes a free Let's Encrypt certificate, issued and renewed automatically. For most websites, blogs and brochure sites that is all you need, and there is nothing to buy.

When a paid certificate makes sense

• Wildcard — covers every subdomain at once, worth it if you run a lot of them.
• Organisation Validated (OV) — the certificate names your registered company, not just the domain.
• Extended Validation (EV) — the strictest checks, usually chosen by banks and larger retailers.
• Warranty cover — paid certificates carry a financial warranty. Free ones do not.

We install and configure the certificate, set up the HTTP to HTTPS redirect and check the site for mixed content. Get in touch and tell us the domain.
